Katsikaris the new head coach of Aris


Fotis Katsikaris is the new head coach of Aris. The Greek coach with the glorious international career is returning to the Greek League, replacing Andrea Mazzon as the official site of the "black-and-yellow" team has announced. Dimitris Priftis will be the assistant coach. They have worked together in the past in AEK.

"Aris is announcing the deal with Fotis Katsikaris, who will be the new coach of the team. The 42-years-old coach signed a two year contract until the end of 2010-11 season. Katsikaris's assistant will be Dimitris Priftis, who have worked in AEK.

Katsikaris was born in the 16th of May 1967 in Koridallos. He played in Ionikos, Sporting, AEK and Irakleion. After his retirement he was named assistant coach in AEK and after five years he was promoted to head coach, a post he served for two years (2003-2005).

Then he worked in Dynamo St. Petersburg. In October 2006 he was named head coach of Pamesa Valencia, where he worked for two years until November 2008".
